Understanding business logic

Business is exchange of goods, transfer of knowledge, services, and flow of funds. There are such things as costs and values, internal accounting, controlling and treasury, key figures and profits, liquidity and profitability.

For many people business is a book with seven seals as they mostly deal with people and their motivation or with technology and projects. Numbers usually are not their concern.

Many are afraid of learning about business economics and barriers are high (“I don’t understand it anyway…”), which is why approaches it using a board game has proven a success.”Looks like monopoly” is how most people react first, so it can’t be that bad. The approach using a simulation generates trust and confidence, and many have an enlightening experience. The day passes and many terms are explained.
